Like many others, one of my favorite tv-shows in the nineties was Friends. I watched every single episode at least 100 times and I still watch whenever I get the chance to. I lived through Rachel and Ross’ many break-ups (Oh how I hated Emily 😉 ), jumped for joy when Chandler and Monica got their two babies, I laughed through Phoebe’s sexy voice phase and I could and always will relate to Joey’s ‘I don’t share food’ attitude. Nobody likes to share their fries, right?! 🙂 So naturally, when my equally addicted friend and I got the chance to attend Friends Fest, we were the first in line for tickets. (Along with thousands of other desperate fans of course 😉 ) OH…….MY…….GOD! London here we come!
What is Friends Fest
What is Friends Fest you say? Well, in a nutshell, it’s a Friends festival. With your ticket, you can go see Monica’s apartment, hang out in Chandler and Joey’s lazy chairs, take a picture with Phoebe’s cab, sit on the famous couch at Central Perk, do ‘The Routine’ at the silent disco, have a quick bite at Monica’s Moon dance diner, (heck you can even dance on the counter like in the show), play some foosball and lots lots more of what they used to do on Friends. And of course there’s plenty of coffee to keep you going at it for hours. But if you do get tired, you can hang out in one of the beach chairs on the giant lawn and watch scenes from all your favorite Friends episodes. Sounds super right? Well, it was!
What we did at Friends Fest
My friends and I had an awesome time, laughing, eating, drinking coffee, watching episodes and reminiscing on set. And to top it all, we even put on wedding dresses and relived ‘The one with the three brides’ It was absolutely hilarious. The only thing that could have topped that day, was if the actual main actors were there. But hey, some things are better left to the imagination.
We finally got to scratch Friends Fest off our bucket lists!
